For music and movie enjoyment The speakers in the GLE series are technically convincing and visually appealing: thanks to these qualities, the attractive and versatile GLE models have been among the most popular speakers in Europe for many years. We have now completely overhauled the successful GLE model range - both visually and technically. The strong price-performance ratio and, of course, the convincingly good Canton sound have remained the same. A logical extension of the GLE series is the newly launched GLE 80, with only slightly smaller dimensions than our flagship GLE 90. It offers almost identical performance with outstanding sound characteristics, excellent dynamics and an attractive appearance. The finest technology takes up space on the only 19 centimeter slim baffle and creates the unique Canton sound - now exclusively with our outstanding titanium drivers, which are allowed to move into the current GLE series.

The technology: better than ever

Striving for the best sound means a lot of hard work and the use of the latest technology. Our visually and technically redesigned GLE loudspeakers benefit from the progress we are constantly making in loudspeaker development. Precise and powerful bass is child's play for the two 174 mm woofers, which reproduce enormous depth in the optimally tuned bass reflex cabinet. Instead of the previous drivers with aluminum cones, woofer specialists with highly stable titanium cones are now used: these can follow fast music impulses even more precisely. We also use titanium chassis in the current GLE series in the acoustically immensely important mid-range. Thanks to the large 174 mm midrange driver, the GLE 80s sound incredibly agile and shine with the best dynamics, outstanding resolution and unsurpassed balance. We use our sophisticated and tried-and-tested aluminium-manganese tweeter systems with 25 mm domes, which are equipped with elaborate waveguides for ideal sound dispersion and coupling and enable reproduction up to 40,000 hertz thanks to optimized crossovers, as ideal playing partners. The outstanding technical equipment of the current GLE generation is further underlined by the speaker chassis with sturdy polycarbonate baskets, powerful magnetic drives and triple-folded wave surrounds.

The slimline GLE 80 3-way loudspeakers are both modern and neutral in design and can be integrated into any living environment thanks to their harmonious proportions. They are available in the attractive “black decor” and “white decor” versions - the matt black or silk matt white lacquered baffles of the powerful bass reflex floorstanding speakers harmonize perfectly with this. The black fabric covers, which are magnetically attached to the baffles, are a decorative feature of the current GLE series. Generously rounded at the corners, they give the floorstanding speakers a friendly, attractive appearance. The well-proportioned GLE 80 floorstanding loudspeakers are 100 centimetres high, just 19 centimetres wide and 30 centimetres deep. Four feet integrated into the base of the enclosure ensure a firm footing on the floor.

Team player

You can expand the powerful GLE 80 3-way floorstanding speakers with other models from the GLE series to create a powerful, high-performance multi-channel home cinema system. Take our GLE 80 as the main speaker, for example, and combine it with the matching GLE 50 center and the GLE 30 as surround speakers.
