HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CHRONO SL SERIES
Polished presence: The higher quality version of the popular Chrono series looks good in every setting thanks to the elegance of its surfaces. All models of the Chrono SL .2 series are available in black and white with high gloss finish. Where necesary, high quality, acoustically neutral fabric covers with magnetic fastenings hide the technology from view to produce an even cleaner look.
Different options for different requirements: The Chrono SL .2 series consists of two floorstanding loudspeakers, two compact loudspeakers and compact on-wall loudspeakers for installation on the wall. If you want to use the Chrono SL .2 series as a home cinema system a matching center speaker is also available.
Ceramic tweeter system
The ceramic tweeters transmit music signals up to 40,000 Hertz. A transmission front plate made of aluminium acts as a wave surround and supports the dispersion characteristics of the system.
In the Chrono SL .2 both the woofers and midrange speakers have titanium membranes. The triple-folded wave surround ensures a controlled swing-in and swing-out behaviour even at maximum volume.
The seamless monocoque cabinet gives this series an elegant appearance. Inside, an optimised construction of high density fibreboard ensures a solid foundation.
In order to round off the appearance of the loudspeaker with titanium membranes, the tweeter, midrange and woofer are edged with screw-free, diamond-cut aluminium rings. A solid socket construction with conical spacers and a down-fire bass reflex opening offer additional accents in terms of design and sound.
Like all premium speakers from the HiFi family from Canton, the Chrono SL .2 series is also equipped with a connection terminal that enables bi-amping and bi-wiring. This means that the tweeter, midrange and woofer ranges can be controlled separately if wished – either from two power amplifiers (bi-amping) or with separate loudspeaker cables from one amplifier (bi-wiring). Stable 24 carat, gold-plated screw terminals ensure optimum signal transmission.
