Our CD 200 speaker series is fully convincing with its elegant design and its mature and powerful sonic performance. This is made possible by the outstanding technical features of the extremely flat speakers. The sturdy aluminum housings conceal select aluminum drivers behind finely structured speaker covers. The models are available in black or silver anodized aluminum housings and in the "high gloss" lacquered variant in white. The flagship of the series, the floorstanding speaker CD 290.3, is suitable for any living environment despite its height of 105 centimeters. This is made possible by the elegant design and the small width and depth of the floor-standing speaker, which finds a secure footing on a heavy base made of die-cast aluminum.
Convincing thanks to the best technical ingredients
Just ten centimeters flat and 14 centimeters wide, our 2 ½ floor-standing speaker CD 290.3. And yet the developers manage the feat of accommodating five powerful speaker chassis behind the sound-transparent aluminum front panel. The elegant floor-standing models are ideal for music and film lovers who prefer an inconspicuous integration of the speakers in their living environment, with excellent sound. Two aluminum woofers provide deep bass down to 40 Hertz in the closed cabinet. A pair of midrange specialists extend the sound spectrum with neutral and well-structured midrange tones. The quartet is rounded off sonically by the finely resolving tweeter with 25 mm aluminum dome.
Elegantly solved
The CD 290.3 rests securely on the heavy die-cast aluminum bases, in which the speaker cables can be unobtrusively routed to the gold-plated terminals on the backs of the speakers. Thanks to the powerful speaker drivers, the CD 290.3 can handle up to 150 watts. And thanks to the high efficiency (87.5 dB), the speakers, which weigh around nine kilograms, are friendly to any amplifier. With our compact speakers CD 220.3 and the center CD 250.3, the CD 290.3 can be expanded into an extremely elegant yet impressive sounding home theater system. The SUB 601 is ideal as a subwoofer. By the way, a perfect playing partner for the CD 200 series is our Smart Amp 5.1, which drives the elegant speaker models to sonic heights.
